Waiting SUCKS!!

The last week of the month is always the hardest, got to wait for payday so I can go fabric/supply shopping.  So many things that I was to make but got to wait and wait.  And I got to get the part for my Singer machine so I can hopefully fix it, not sure if what I think is wrong with it is all that is wrong with it.  I love that machine it is so much more smoother then my Brother one, and it helps that it attaches to a desk so it makes it easier to work with. 

Purple Chevron BOHO bag

I have a Singer sewing machine that isn't always working that well but I wanted to give it a try, so today I pulled it out and it still isn't totally working but I was able to whip out a bag with it.  The main problem is that it cant thread a bobbin and needs a replacement part.

It works for the most part but am going to have to go back to my Brother machine until I can buy the part my Singer needs, which will hopefully soon.  But I did finish the Purple Chevron bag:

So I made another one with only half the things I needed, to get practice at it.  And this one turned out pretty good, I used fabric I had stashed in a bin. I can't wait until I can go shopping and get more fabric and supplies to make more of these.  Maybe even sell some of them once I make ones that are a little sturdier. 

 

It took me a little bit longer to make this one and put it up.  The life of a mom of four, two which are tiny and need constant attention.  Started it on Friday night and finished it late Saturday night, but got it done. 

 

 

 

Another Japanese Knot

Made this one out of leftover fabric I had laying around, love the colors.

Todays task

Making patterns bigger on the Japanese knot bag that I found off Pinterest so I can make different size bags.

 

I made the smaller one the other day and today I made the big one. 

 

 

Trying something new

So I found this really neat bag on Pinterest that I was dying to make but didn't have the all the supplies I need for it.  But figured what the heck I'll make one that is like a "trail" purse so I know what I am doing when I actually have all the things I need for it. 

Here what it is suppose to look like when it is done:

And I have only started it so its only the outer part so far but here it is, oh and yes that is batman fabric:

But I do think it is coming together well.

Monday funday

So was looking at Pinterest and was looking at Japanese Knot bags and so decided this morning that I chad to make some.  I have made some in the past and even have a couple up on my etsy page but the are more boxy, wanted to try with some that are rounder.  First I had to make a pattern and found one on the internet but had to then make it bigger.  Then sadly I cut my fabric and whatnot and started sewing only to get half way through and discovered I sewed wrong pieces together.  :(

 And as you can see I sewed a piece of the lining on the outside BOO!

But then I made another and paid more carefully as to what I was doing and got the right pieces with the right sides.

 

Now to start figuring out on making bigger ones, I saw ones last night that where big shoulder bags, I think it will be fun to make all different sizes.
